Princess Michael of Kent refuses to eat Chelsea bun while judging charity competition

Princess Michael of Kent refused to eat a Chelsea bun while judging a charity competition at an upmarket London store which supplies food to the royal family.

The 78-year-old, who is married to Queen Elizabeth II's cousin Prince Michael of Kent, stepped in to help out at the awards in Partridges after her daughter-in-law, Lady Sophie Winkleman - was supposed to be judging the awards but asked her mother-in-law to step in as she was busy.

"I wasn't told by my daughter-in-law that I was going to do a taste. Because I'm not going to taste," she said during The Royal Borough: Kensington & Chelsea on Channel 5.
